The New Year brings us a new member of staff and we would like to give Susana a warm welcome to the Practice.
In 2006 Susana graduated from the Madrid School of Osteopathy in Spain with a degree in Osteopathy, specialising in cranial Sacrum and Visceral therapy. In 2008 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Egas Moniz, Portugal and then in 2011 a diploma in Global Postural Re-education.
In 2008 she began working in different clinical settings within both the private and public sector with a variety of specialisms from chronic pain, orthopaedic rehabilitation, rheumatologic rehabilitation, MSK, pain relief and sports injury. Susana also worked part time in professional sport for Lisbon Judo Club, Santarem Basketball Club, and Sporting Football Academy. In 2013 she joined Benfica Football Club where she worked a season with the rugby team and later with the roller hockey team.
In 2014 she went to work in Private Practice in Lisbon where the patients had a wide range of physical difficulties as a result of illness, injury or ageing.
Susana has a special interest in, postural education, TMJ problems, Neuromuscular Taping, Mulligan manipulations, Cranio-sacral Therapy, visceral therapy, and harmonic technique
She came to live in the UK in 2016 and speaks fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish.
